About This Product
By changing from the conventional straight tube shell and tube to this corrugated shell and tube, heat transfer efficiency is greatly improved due to the turbulence of the internal liquid due to stirring flow. By corrugating, the surface area increases by about 1.2 times, but the performance increase due to turbulence increases by 2-3 times. In addition, strong turbulence = arbitrary force develops within the tube, making it difficult for microscopic dirt, slime, and other clogging elements to adhere. Replacing the existing bare tube type shell & tube will improve efficiency, which will directly lead to a reduction in gas or electricity costs as a heat source. It can be used not only as a liquid/liquid heat exchanger, but also as a steam/liquid heat exchanger. Since it is a corrugated tube, it is designed to have less scale buildup. We have a cleaning solution specifically designed for heat exchange, even in extremely dirty environments, so you can use it with confidence in a variety of environments. *Special shapes can also be negotiated.
■Advantages of corrugated tubes
Straight tubes can deal with corrosion and dirt clogging outside the tube, but because the heat transfer area is small and the overall heat transfer coefficient is small, a large number of tubes are required, which increases processing costs and the heat exchanger itself. It will get bigger. By using corrugated tubes, it is possible to reduce the size of the heat exchanger body while increasing heat exchange efficiency. (Note: In environments with heavy dirt, reducing the size may reduce performance, so consideration should be given to on-site maintenance.)
■Difference between corrugated tube and bare tube
・Corrugated tube: Because it is prone to turbulent flow both inside and outside the tube, it is characterized by good thermal conductivity. Rise to up to 5,000Wmik (water/water usage). It also has the characteristic of being less likely to get dirty due to the turbulent flow.
[Disadvantages] If there is heavy dirt, the rate of performance deterioration may be high, so you may need to use a bare tube + larger size.
- Bare tube has a shape that does not easily cause turbulence, resulting in lower thermal conductivity and larger size. Since it does not easily generate turbulent flow, it has a low peeling effect for removing dirt, but it can be used in sites where stable performance due to a large conduction surface is required. Typical thermal conductivity is around 1,500 wfmiK.
