■Summary
This device is a hand-held measuring instrument that can quickly and easily measure wear/friction coefficient (Tribometer) and film thickness (Calotest).
■Measurement principle (micro grinder)
By applying pressure and rolling a ball on a gliding tape coated with sapphire particles, the sample surface is polished and the friction coefficient and film thickness are measured.
・Calculation of friction coefficient from membrane deflection force
・Calculate the wear coefficient from the amount of tape wear
・Measure the film thickness from the height difference (h1-h2) before and after pressurization
