■Product overview The "Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) System" manufactured by Becker & Hickle, Germany is a system that can map the spatial distribution of the luminescence lifetime of living cells and inorganic materials. Luminescence lifetime imaging technology is an excellent quantitative method that is not affected by local concentration, excitation light intensity or wavelength, or color fading. In the world of cell biology and medicine, FLIM is used as an imaging technique for a wide range of biophysical phenomena. It is highly suitable for fluorescence and phosphorescence oxygen imaging, ion imaging, fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) imaging of protein-protein interactions, and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS). The system consists of a high-speed galvano scanner, a picosecond pulsed laser, a highly sensitive GaAsP hybrid detector, a time-correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) module, and analysis software. It is also possible to build a system by upgrading the TCSPC function to your existing confocal laser microscope.
