A revolution in astronomy. sCMOS detector with extremely wide field of view and fast readout. It is ideal for astronomical observations that measure photometry and stellar fluctuations on timescales from milliseconds to tens of seconds.

■High-speed wide-field sCMOS camera Balor Product Overview

This is an sCMOS camera developed by Andor Technology in partnership with Queen's University in the UK for the world's largest solar telescope, DKIST (Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope) located in Hawaii. This is an ultra-high spec camera that combines a vast light-receiving area and high frame rate.
