About This Product

■Variable frequency microwave (VFM) oven VariWave Overview

Variable Frequency Microwave (VFM) Oven VariWave (manufactured by LAMBDA Technologies) is a variable frequency microwave oven equipped with patented VFM technology (Variable Frequency Microwave) that enables "fast curing and precision bonding of adhesives and resins". is. Normal microwave ovens and industrial microwave heating devices use a fixed frequency of 2.45 GHz, but VFM uses a high-speed sweep of the 5 to 7 GHz band. This VFM oven has many features that overturn conventional microwave heating, such as uniform heating throughout the oven, the ability to insert metal objects, and control the temperature of objects to be heated (heating rate control and constant temperature maintenance). I have it. These features enable processing that was previously impossible in the curing process of adhesives and resins, creating an innovative curing process. The device is equipped with ports into which various sensors can be inserted, a non-contact thermometer, a closed-loop high-precision temperature control function, a sample observation camera, and NW10x2 ports for gas introduction and exhaust as standard. It is also possible to perform processing in a vacuum environment or gas atmosphere.

■Features

・Metal objects and electronic circuit boards can also be inserted by high-speed frequency sweep. ・PID control using non-contact thermometer, does not burn the sample ・Selective heating using microwaves suppresses warping and distortion ・Suppress binder migration of Li-ion battery electrodes ・Suitable for roll-to-roll drying process

■Usage/Application

・Curing of adhesives and resins (high-speed and high-precision processing) ・Drying of battery materials (suppressing void binder migration) ・Heating of silicon wafers (high-speed heating, high-speed cooling) ・Reaction acceleration of chemically reactive materials ・Precision packaging of semiconductors and LEDs using thermosetting resin ・Research on biomaterials and biofuels ・Pharmaceuticals, biomedical products (sterilization, germs, chemical synthesis) ・Development of catalyst materials (high-efficiency microwave irradiation of liquid, powder, and gas samples) ・New material research, etc.

■Fast curing without burning the sample Shortened curing time due to rapid temperature rise

Microwave dielectric heating, which heats the material from the inside, can be expected to shorten the curing time due to rapid temperature rise compared to convection oven hot air convection heating, which heats the material from the outside.
