About This Product

■Product overview

EKSPLA's “PhotoSonus High output energy up to 65mJ, wide tuning range from 665 to 2,600nm, repetition frequency up to 100Hz, and fast wavelength switching provide high-resolution images. Built on a diode-pumped solid-state laser (DPSS laser), “PhotoSonus X” guarantees extremely quiet operation (<60dB).

・Tuning range (automatic adjustment): 660-1,300nm (signal), 1,065-2,600nm (idler) ・Maximum 90mJ pulse energy from OPO ・Repetition frequency: 100Hz or 50Hz ・Quiet operation: <60dB ・Achieves stable operation with a robust laser head with built-in excitation laser ・Fiber bundle output (equipped with safety interlock) ・Suitable for integration into medical devices

■Early detection of breast cancer using photoacoustic imaging

In recent years, photoacoustic imaging has attracted attention as a breast cancer screening method. Photoacoustic imaging has the advantage of being comparable to existing testing methods, with sufficient detection sensitivity and resolution for screening through early detection, and less burden on patients than existing testing methods. EKSPLA is participating in PAMMOTH, an EU-funded project to develop photoacoustic imaging diagnostic equipment for breast cancer. EKSPLA is committed to contributing to society and solving problems through cutting-edge laser technology.
