MDBC-MIF-01

Connect CoinMech (MDB method), a bill validator for vending machines, to a PC, one-board microcontroller, etc. A USB or serial interface can be used for connection to a PC (microcontroller).

・Can connect all MDB devices such as credit card payment machines

■System overviewOverseas specification bill burrs, coin mechs, etc. are controlled by the MDB standard. Therefore, when manufacturing vending machines for overseas markets, if you are trying to create overseas bill validators and coin mechs, you will need to develop a system that is compliant with MDB. MDBC-MIF-01 was developed to allow these MDB devices to be easily operated from a PC or embedded microcontroller.

The built-in firmware automatically handles timing-sensitive parts and special communication parts, allowing users to easily operate MDB devices. USB or serial ports can be used to interface with PCs and microcontrollers, so many computers can be used as the main controller, regardless of CPU or OS.

A feature of this device is that it uses a protocol that allows MDB commands to be sent and received transparently, so commands can be sent and received to all MDB devices regardless of model. Therefore, in principle, all devices with MDB specifications can be connected and controlled.
