About This Product

By combining a seismic shutoff valve and a seismic sensor, it functions as a seismic automatic gas shutoff device. If an earthquake occurs that exceeds the set acceleration, the gas will be automatically shut off. It operates by using the natural pressure of the supplied gas without using any other power sources such as electricity, hydraulic pressure, or compressed air.

■Seismic sensor (seismic part)

[Seismic sensor] is a device that detects earthquakes, and when an earthquake occurs that exceeds the set acceleration, the sensor activates, releases the sealed gas, and closes the seismic isolation valve. Does not require power such as electricity. In order to suppress malfunctions caused by daily vibrations, this product uses a combination method of two vibration sensing elements with different characteristics (① steel ball element ② weighted magnet element), and is able to detect vibrations within the daily vibration band (frequency 5 to 20Hz). The operation is suppressed. Due to the combination of two different elements, even if one element falls due to daily vibrations, the [seismic sensor] will not operate unless the other element falls, so there is no possibility of incorrect supply gas cutoff due to household vibrations other than earthquakes. It is less active.

■Element characteristics

・Steel ball element: Has a large frequency (small width) and is difficult to operate due to shaking (falling ball). - Weighted magnet element: Has stable operating characteristics in the frequency range (3 to 10Hz) from the seismic motion band to the daily vibration band.

■Optional seismic sensor box (C2BOX)
