About This Product
A compressor that has wheels for movement and a compressor and motor mounted on top of an air tank is called a tank-mounted compressor.
The most common failure of tank-mounted compressors is compressor seizure due to lack of oil. The fix for a burn-in failure is to replace the compressor, but the cost is so high that it would be better to buy a new compressor. Seizing can be prevented by regularly checking the oil level and changing the oil.
However, many people forget to check their oil.
A compressor with an oil alarm is convenient for such people. When the air compressor runs out of oil, a warning light will light up and the compressor will stop operating, so there is no risk of burning.
After refilling the oil, you can continue driving. Please use it when installing a new product or replacing it.
Package compressors come standard with an oil-out alarm, but tank-mounted compressors do not.
We recommend replacing the oil with the one specified by the manufacturer, but there is no problem if it is a standard oil (No. 68). Please do not use car engine oil as it may carbonize inside the compressor and cause malfunctions.
If you neglect to change the oil, impurities in the oil will cause the cylinder and piston to wear more easily. When parts wear out, oil may get mixed into the air, causing a reduction in compression capacity. If the oil becomes dirty, replace it as soon as possible.
■One point advice
Oil-free type is not maintenance-free. Since it uses a resin piston, regular parts replacement is required and is costly. Since it is weak against shock, the rate of damage is high. If you change the oil correctly, oil-type models can last several times longer.
