■How to assemble KAN nut
1. Clean the male threaded shaft.
2. Loosen each bolt of the KAN nut.
3. Screw the KAN nut onto the male thread until there is a gap of 1~2mm between the end and the end.
4. Tighten the bolts of the KAN nut evenly diagonally, and reduce the gap while being careful not to tilt the end face of the nut.
5. Next, temporarily assemble the KAN nut by tightening it with as much force as possible, which is 3-5 times the required axial force.
Note) This work is important for initializing the nut.
6. Once loosened, tighten the bolts diagonally and evenly again, being careful not to tilt the end face.
At this time, reduce the gap until the KAN nut finally turns.
7. Tighten the KAN nut with appropriate axial force.
8. Tighten all bolts diagonally and evenly to the specified torque to secure them to the shaft.
9. In addition, fine adjustment of the bolts at necessary locations may correct the shaft runout and align the center, but in this case, make sure that all bolts are tensioned at the end of the work to avoid loosening the bolts too much. Please make sure that it is hooked up.
