■Notes
- Connect correctly according to the color coding of the lead wires. When making connections, be sure to turn off the device power to the electrical circuit to be connected. (Mirror wiring or load short-circuits can lead to damage to the switch/load-side electric circuit. Even a momentary short-circuit can lead to burnout of the main circuit and output circuit. (This may cause damage to the switch and load-side electrical circuit.)
- Separate the switch cord from the power source of other electrical equipment as much as possible. If they are bundled or wired close together, the induced current will adversely affect the switch and load.
Output protection circuit
■When connecting and using an inductive load (relay solenoid valve, etc.)
A surge voltage is generated when the switch is OFF, so be sure to provide a protection circuit on the load side.
■When connecting a capacitive load (capacitor, etc.) or extending the cord over 10m
An inrush current will occur when the switch is turned on, so be sure to install a protection circuit (resistance or choke coil) as shown in the diagram.
■Detectable cylinder piston speed
- When setting the switch to an intermediate position, please keep the cylinder maximum speed within 300mm/s due to the response speed of load relays, etc. (Only for 10F-2)
・Please note that if the piston speed is too fast, the switch will operate, but the time the switch is operating will be short and the load such as a relay may not operate.
■Installation location
・Do not use the cylinder or switch in a location where they may be exposed to chips or cutting oil. If you are in a location where a strong magnetic field is generated in the surrounding area, provide a magnetic shield using an iron plate, etc.
・10F-2 series
When stacking cylinders with an inner diameter of 2532 or equivalent, they may sense the magnet of the adjacent cylinder and cause malfunction. When using stacked products, please install them at least 6mm apart.
・10S-1R series ・35S-1R series
Keep ferromagnetic materials (such as iron) away from the outer circumference of the cylinder body and near the switch. As a guide, keep a distance of about 10mm.
