However, high-speed cameras made of special parts tend to be large and expensive equipment. Also, not everyone who needs high-speed shooting is looking for 10,000FPS (frames per second), and many people are satisfied with a speed of 500FPS. For such people, conventional high-speed cameras were over-spec equipment.
On the other hand, industrial cameras used in factories, etc., have rapidly become more sophisticated and less expensive over the past few years. There are some devices that are priced below 100,000 yen and yet have speeds of 500 FPS or more. Therefore, we have developed software that connects an industrial camera to a typical Windows PC and allows it to operate at high speed, making it possible to use it as a low-cost high-speed camera.
