Magnesium hydroxide is a white inorganic powder made by crushing natural brucite, or it is synthesized from magnesium in seawater, etc. Mohs hardness is 2-3. It decomposes endothermically at approximately 340℃ and releases water molecules during decomposition, so it is used as a non-halogen flame retardant that does not release outgas.
■Main uses
・Heat-resistant fillers for polymeric materials such as PE, PP, PVC, and rubber
・Exhaust gas desulfurization, neutralization of acidic wastewater
