The Apogee Thermistor Radiant Frost Sensing Sensor SE-SF-110-SS is an innovative leaf-shaped temperature sensor that improves performance and durability. It was determined that leaf measurements were most important for the new frost detection sensor, so the bud temperature sensor was removed.
The temperature of the leaves can be much lower than the surrounding temperature, which is called radiant frost. It is possible to predict the occurrence of radiant frost.
