About This Product

■What is “FLIGHTS SCAN®”?

LiDAR used for surveying requires high accuracy and precision for the current topography. To this end, sensor performance is of course important, which determines the number of point clouds that form the survey data and the types of terrain that can be handled. However, sensors are not the only thing that determines the performance of drone-mounted LiDAR, which acquires data while moving in the air rather than in a stationary state. The INS (Inertial Navigation System) plays the role of measuring the moving speed, attitude, and position changes of the sensor, and is an extremely important element for obtaining highly accurate data. FLIGHTS SCAN® is a three-dimensional measurement LiDAR for surveying professionals that was developed with a particular focus on the impact of this INS on the accuracy of the entire system. INS (Inertial Navigation System): An important part that calculates attitude, speed, and relative position, and affects the accuracy of the entire system. It consists of an inertial measurement unit (IMU), a GNSS receiver, and sensor fusion software that extracts more reliable information from the multiple data obtained from these.

■IMU

Abbreviation for Inertial Measurement Unit. A general term for sensors for attitude control. It responds to, detects, and measures each physical motion parameter (acceleration, rotational angular acceleration, gyro, etc.).

■GNSS receiver

A device that receives signals from sanitary systems and converts them into latitude and longitude to obtain highly accurate location information. The signals it receives include GPS (US), QZSS (Japan), GLONASS (Russia), and BeiDou (China).

■Sensor fusion software

Software that combines data from multiple sensors or different sources to extract more reliable information. lineup

■V2 M2X

・This is a high-end model of aerial survey LiDAR that integrates Hesai's 360-degree omnidirectional sensor "XT32 M2X" and Inertial Labs' high-performance INS "INS-D". - Recommended altitude above ground that meets various standards listed in the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan's "Public Survey Manual*" is 30m to 120m. -Equipped with a multi-return function that can receive up to 3 returns. The Geospatial Information Authority of Japan's "Public Survey Manual Using UAV Laser Scanner (Draft)" was previously reflected in the work regulations.
