■Product description
This connection is retrofitted to calibrate existing gas density monitors. GLTC-CV is installed between the gas tank and the gas density meter. This calibration valve allows you to disconnect the gas density meter from the piping line and recalibrate it without removing it. This not only reduces maintenance time but also minimizes the risk of SF6 gas emissions and potential leaks during restart.
■Easy and quick recalibration
When it comes to switchgear safety, asset protection and environmental protection, it is common practice to regularly check the functionality of gas density meters. Article 5 of EU Regulation No. 517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases requires leakage detection at least every six years if the equipment contains 22 kg or more of SF6 gas and has been put into operation after 1 January 2017. A system check is required.
When the test equipment (e.g. model ACS-10 or model BCS-10) is connected to the recalibration valve, the gas density monitor is automatically disconnected from the gas compartment (e.g. switching equipment) and recalibration can be performed. The test device is then disconnected from the recalibration valve and the connection to the gas compartment (switching equipment, etc.) is automatically resumed.
