■ Scope of use
The new WIKA Micro Calibration Bath is the perfect calibration bath for the CTD9100 Series and CTD9300 Series Drywell Temperature Calibrators.
For dry-well temperature calibrators, short probes significantly increase measurement uncertainty due to short insertion depths and resulting thermal conduction errors. Comparing the test item to an external reference thermometer cannot be too short. For stem lengths below 70 mm (2.76 inches), micro-calibration baths are clearly preferred over dry-well temperature calibrators.
When calibrating several probes simultaneously, the Microbath has an additional advantage: thermometers with different stem diameters can be calibrated simultaneously without the need to use adapted inserts. This approach is applicable to a wide range of test items and is particularly useful for field calibration, even when their stem diameters are variable or unknown.
■CTB9100 Micro Calibration Bath is available in two versions:
・CTB9100-165: -35 ... +165 °C (-31 ... +329 °F)
・CTB9100-225: 40 ... 225 °C (104 ...437 °F); optionally 255 °C (491 °F)
■Easy operation
The CTB9100 series micro-calibration baths operate in tanks with temperature-controlled fluids and have an available stem range of Ø60 x 150 mm (2.36 x 5.91 in). The maximum insertion length of the test item reduces thermal conduction errors and measurement uncertainties.
Calibration temperature can be easily adjusted using two keys on the controller and can be quickly controlled. Actual temperature and set temperature can be displayed simultaneously on a 4-digit high-contrast LC display. Therefore, reading errors are virtually eliminated.
