■Product description
The photoelectric level switch model OLS-C20 is suitable for detecting the upper limit water level of liquids. They are identified by physical properties such as refractive index, color, density, conductivity and permittivity. Measurement is possible even in a small range.
The switch consists of an infrared LED and a phototransistor. The light from the LED passes through a prism. When the prism at the tip of the sensor is in a gas layer, the light is reflected within the prism to the receiving device. When the water level in the container rises and reaches about two-thirds of the way to the glass tip, the infrared light beam that hits the liquid is blocked and only a small portion reaches the receiving device.
Open/closed PNP transistor outputs act directly to control systems or external support relays. The output has limited short-circuit protection and current/voltage capacity. The switch status is displayed directly on the sensor (green LED).
