■Product description
Model OLS is a photoelectric level switch for detecting the limit water level of fluids. They are identified by physical properties such as refractive index, color, density, conductivity and permittivity. Measurement is possible even in a small range.
The switch consists of an infrared LED and a phototransistor. The light from the LED passes through a prism. When the prism at the tip of the sensor is in a gas layer, the light is reflected within the prism to the receiving equipment. When the water level in the container rises and reaches about two-thirds of the way to the glass tip, the infrared light beam that hits the liquid is blocked and only a small portion reaches the receiving device. The electronic components react to this difference and activate the switch.
Model OLS photoelectric level switch is explosion-proof compatible (Zone 0 and Zone 1 compatible). When combined with switching amplifier model OSA-S, it can also be used for overflow control. This equipment is extremely rugged and can withstand harsh environments.
Switching amplifiers do not require shielded wires, allowing for easy and economical wiring. Model OSA-S switching amplifiers operate with intrinsically safe signal circuits. The 19-inch plug-in card allows all controls to be accessed from the front, except for the switch to change the alarm direction and the potentiometer for response delay. By attaching the case (transparent cover), you can check the switching status.
