■About the manufacturer and sales
・Zerol HD46 is an air conditioning compressor oil for the next-generation new refrigerant HFO1234yf, which uses PAG (Poly-Alkylene Glycol), which was developed using proprietary technology by the major American chemical manufacturer Shrieve, as the base oil.
・Zerol HD46 can be used in both belt-driven air conditioning compressors and electrically driven compressors where HFO1234yf refrigerant is used.
■About PAG air conditioning compressor oil
・Synthetic oil based on PAG (Poly-Alkylene Glycol) has been widely used as compressor oil for car air conditioners that use HFC-R134a, an alternative CFC refrigerant. It is also used as an air conditioning compressor oil for HFO1234yf, a next-generation new refrigerant that is increasingly used in car air conditioners as an even more environmentally friendly refrigerant.
・The base oil of PAG oil used in refrigerator compressors uses PAG, which is a high-molecular polymer whose chain ends are capped (blocked) with alkyl groups for reasons of quality and performance. Generally, both terminals are capped with the same type of alkyl group, but Shrieve's proprietary technology has allowed them to be capped with different types of alkyl groups. Zerol HD46 has been commercialized as an air conditioning compressor oil for HFO1234yf refrigerant by blending this PAG as a base oil with various carefully selected additives.
