About This Product

■Odor/VOC analysis, odor profiling

The flash GC nose Heracles NEO is based on the principle of dual-column high-speed GC, and statistically processes the entire two chromatograms obtained simultaneously with two FID detectors as a "smell fingerprint." High-speed separation technology of approximately 2 to 3 minutes and concentration technology using a Peltier-controlled solid adsorbent realize odor profiling and high-throughput analysis for product development, quality control, and complaint response.

■High sensitivity with concentration function

Thermal desorption function using Tenax TA (10mg) also detects low concentration (sub-ppb) components. The trap can be controlled from 0℃ to 300℃ using Peltier, and can also be used for analysis of low boiling point components.

■High-speed separation

Oven design with minimal dead volume allows for temperature increases of up to 8°C/sec. A short column (10m) enables high-speed separation in around 180 seconds and an analysis cycle of approximately 8 minutes, providing excellent throughput.

■Dual column, FIDx2

Two metal capillary columns (10m, 0.18mm ID, 0.4μm) with different polarities are used in parallel, and even complex volatile components with different characteristics can be separated using either column. FID detection at the outlet of each column yields two chromatograms simultaneously. In addition, when searching libraries with AroChemBase, it is possible to narrow down compounds by cross-searching using the retention index of two types of columns.

■Supports multiple analysis methods

Heracles NEO supports multiple analytical methods including headspace, liquid injection, and SPME. Direct suction from the sampling bag is also possible using the built-in pump (optional).
