■Product overview

Over time, industrial carbon materials are required to have more homogeneous, finer particles, and more stable properties. With this history, Toyo Tanso was the first in the industry to develop "isotropic graphite," which is a graphite material with a fine particle structure that has an isotropic structure and properties obtained by isostatic pressing. Our isotropic graphite products are superior in a variety of industrial fields, including the semiconductor field, where technological innovation is progressing, the environmentally friendly new energy field, the mold field, which requires extreme precision, and the nuclear power field, which requires high reliability. ■Isotropic material

・Conventional graphite is anisotropic and has various limitations when used, but isotropic graphite has small differences in properties depending on the cutting direction, making it an easy-to-design and easy-to-use material. ・Isotropic high-density graphite is isotropic and has a fine particle structure compared to conventional anisotropic graphite, so there is less material variation and it is possible to achieve high strength and high reliability at the same time. This is a graphite material that overcomes all the problems of conventional anisotropic graphite.

■Reliability

Compared to conventional graphite, it is a highly reliable material with higher strength and less variation due to its fine particle structure.

■Super heat-resistant material

In an inert atmosphere, it can be used stably even at extremely high temperatures of over 2,000℃. Because it has low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity, it has excellent thermal shock resistance and thermal uniformity, and is a material with little thermal deformation. Additionally, it has the unique property of increasing its strength as the ambient temperature rises up to 2,500℃.

■Electrical conductivity

It has high electrical conductivity and excellent heat resistance, making it ideal for applications such as high-temperature heaters.

■Chemical resistance

Chemically stable except for some strong oxidizing substances. It can be used stably even in environments where common metals are subject to corrosion.

■Lightweight and easy to process

Compared to metal materials, it has a lower bulk density and can be lighter. It also has excellent machinability, making precise processing easy.

■Product application examples

Environmental and energy-related products such as solar cells, nuclear power, and aerospace fields; electronics-related products such as polysilicon/silicon single crystal production; white LED and high-frequency element production; various industrial furnace parts; dies for continuous casting of copper alloys, etc.; Electrical discharge machining electrodes for optical fiber and mold manufacturing
