About This Product

Aomori Hiba is considered one of Japan's three most beautiful forests, along with Kiso Hinoki and Akita Cedar. Natural Aomori hiba was born in Japan and grew in the Japanese climate, and contains the highest amount of hinokitiol among domestic materials.

・Insect repellent effect: Prevents termites, mites, cockroaches, etc. ・Antibacterial effect: prevents the growth of wood-decaying bacteria ・Deodorizing effect: Eliminates unpleasant odors Beppin wood deck is manufactured using only the red meat (heartwood) of carefully selected natural Aomori Hiba trees that are over 150 years old and produced in national forests. The deck receives strong summer sunlight. Even if the surface of an aluminum deck is coated with resin, the core material retains heat. Natural wood itself has an insulating effect (due to the presence of air spaces between its cells) and does not trap heat. This suppresses the rise in surface temperature, making it safe even with bare feet. Natural wood is often said to be unsafe because its surface becomes fuzzy over time. Natural Aomori Hiba Beppin, which has been treated with a wood arched top (manufacturing patent applied for), has succeeded in minimizing thorns and hangnails, which are one of the signs of deterioration over time.
