About This Product

Thyristor brakes reduce the stopping time of three-phase induction motors. This is an epoch-making brake unit that can freely control speed and speed by passing a thyristor-controlled DC current through a general-purpose three-phase motor.

■What is thyristor brake?

By using a thyristor brake, a direct current is applied to the inertial force when stopping a machine to apply braking, allowing the machine to stop quickly. ■High speed type

The high-speed type has a maximum braking time of 2 seconds. Used in machine tools, etc., where the cycle time is short and you want to stop the motor quickly. If you apply the brakes repeatedly, the motor will generate heat. Please be careful not to let the motor get too hot. Thyristor brakes also generate heat, but the motor heats up faster. When applying the brakes at maximum torque and maximum 2 seconds, the cycle time should be 2 minutes or more. If the current is small, the cycle time can be short.
