This DC-BUS evaluation board (EVB) tester is a tool for quickly evaluating new DC powerline communication devices and EVBs. Upon power-up, the EVB tester sets the connected EVB to the desired operating parameters according to the switches (frequency, coding, etc.). The EVB tester generates test messages that the connected EVB performs over the power line. On the receiving side, the EVB tester analyzes the received test messages and indicates error events. The EVB tester can interface with Yamar's DC-BUS test program via the USB port for preliminary testing. Optional DC Powerline Attenuator allows you to perform communication tests on controlled attenuation channels.
