QPSK modulated using a low voltage narrowband carrier. Eliminates EMC generated by the "square wave" of normal CAN bits. DCAN500 is implemented in a small CMOS digital process, allowing integration with other CMOS IP such as microcontrollers. The DCAN500 is coupled to the DC line through a capacitor, so there is no need for high-voltage processes like those required with regular CAN transceivers. This innovative solution enables low-cost CAN-wide implementations that combine power and data in the same cable, eliminates twisted pair wires, withstands hostile DC line impulse noise, saves weight, and Simplify installation. The DCAN500 Evaluation Board (EVB) allows you to test DCAN500 devices in your system. Multiple DCAN500 boards can communicate over the vehicle's DC power line using the CAN protocol. The EVB includes all the hardware necessary for operation, including line protection networks, passive filters, and 10V to 36V switching power supplies. This board runs CAN protocols over DC power lines at data rates up to 500Kbit/s. The EVB can be directly connected to a CAN host (CAN-controller) via the J1 host I/O connector. ■Application DCAN500 ・CAN2.0A/B via power line communication Add redundancy to CAN channels ・Replacement of existing CAN bus ・Truck trailer CAN communication
