■Features This product has a ``tang'' that holds a tool for insertion. Wire thread inserts can be used to strengthen the threads and extend the life of the application. Inserts can share the load across the bolt and hole, distributing loads and stresses more evenly, resulting in improved retention or pullout resistance. They are usually made by rolling SUS304 (18-8) steel wire into a diamond-shaped cross section, but there are also products made from materials such as Inconel, Nimonic 90, Nimonic 60, phosphor bronze, and SUS316.
