■KY: KY strain gauge chain for strain gradient confirmation Chain-type strain gauges (SG) KY1, KY2, KY3, KY4, KY5, KY6, KY7, KY8, KY9 consist of 10 to 15 very small measuring grids equally spaced on the same carrier foil. It is made up of. SG chains are particularly suited for determining strain gradients. In addition, HBM's SG chain, which consists of multiple rosette gauges with alternating measurement grid orientations, can be used to determine the gradient of strain conditions in two axes. The temperature response of SG chains can be tailored to customer specifications. The nominal (rated) resistance of the SG chain is 120Ω. The measuring grid is made of constantan and the material holding the measuring grid is polyimide.
