■XY: 2-gauge XY T-shaped rosette analyzes biaxial stress state in known directions T-shaped rosette type XY strain gauges have two measurement grids arranged at a 90° offset. Typical applications are measurements on tension and compression bars and analysis of biaxial stress states in known stress directions. Types XY1, XY3, XY7, XY9, and XY10 are available in a wide range of geometries and dimensions, each with several temperature adaptations and nominal (rated) resistance values (120 and 350Ω). The measuring grid is made of constantan. The material holding the measurement grid is polyimide. For more information on measurements with T-shaped rosette gauges, please see the booklet "Using Whistone Bridge Circuits" and the specialist literature "An Introduction to Measurements Using Strain Gauges". The XY3 strain gauge also comes with a connection cable. It is a solution that offers a number of benefits: no soldering of the measurement points is required, cable lengths can be selected from 0.5m to 10m, and RJ11 plugs can be added as required. Fluoropolymer wire is used for easy cable installation.
