This product has a lower head (approximately 55-65%) than a general hexagon socket head bolt, and is also called a low head cap or low head hexagon socket cap. The buffer from other parts and tools during tightening is reduced, and the protrusion is less noticeable even after tightening. In addition, when embedding it into a mating material, the head can be embedded by shallow counterboring, and the head is low, making it lightweight. These advantages increase the degree of freedom in design, making it an effective screw for making equipment lighter and more compact. The "Extremely Low Head" series, which has an even lower head, is an original product developed by Bossard in response to customer needs. After tightening, there are almost no protruding parts, increasing safety, so it is often used in welfare equipment such as wheelchairs and electric nursing care beds. The stainless steel product, which has heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and chemical resistance, is an original product of Bossard Japan. There is also a small head type with a 10-30% smaller head diameter. Please note that the hexagon socket (s dimension) is smaller than a normal cap bolt with the same nominal diameter.
