A hexagon socket head bolt with a built-in washer called a SEMS. Also called a cap with built-in washer. Since it can be handled as a single component, it saves time and effort in assembling washers, and it also prevents forgetting to assemble, making mistakes, and losing items, improving work efficiency. SEMS includes P=2 with built-in spring washer, P=3 with built-in spring washer and flat washer (old JIS standard), and P=4 with built-in spring washer and flat washer (JIS small size). There are also type I, which incorporates an ISO standard washer, and type PK, which incorporates a JIS small washer, which can be selected according to the application. The name "SEMS" comes from the registered trademark of ITW (Illinois Tool Work), which developed and patented washer-mounted screws in the 1930s. We named it SEMS by adding the plural “S” to the string “SEM” which is included in the English word “pre-asSEMbled washers and screws” as it is generally bought in boxes. .
