U-bolts, also known as U-bolts for general steel pipes, are U-shaped bolts as the name suggests. It has threads on both ends, and is attached to a bracket or pedestal by placing it over the steel pipe, and then tightening it using nuts from the other side. Generally used to support horizontal piping or vertical piping. Please use it as a steady rest when supporting vertical piping. The weight of the pipe itself cannot be borne by the U bolts alone. In addition to general use, there is a thick-bodied version for ships, and there is also a long-leg type that is highly corrosion resistant and can be used outdoors, on ships, and undersea structures. The size of the U bolt to be used is determined by the diameter of the member to be fixed, and the thickness of the U bolt is determined by the nominal diameter. General steel pipes are expressed not by the actual diameter in millimeters, but by the "nominal dimensions" set in the standard, and the size of U-bolts is also indicated accordingly.
