■Summary The Newton 970 provides unmatched EMCCD performance for spectroscopic applications. TE-cooled to -100°C, 16µm pixel size and 1,600x200 array minimize dark current for unmatched performance. EM technology amplifies the charge of each pixel on the sensor before readout, allowing single photon detection. The Newton EM platform is unmatched for spectroscopic applications by combining a 1,600x200 (or 1,600x400) array of 16µm pixels, -100°C thermocooling to minimize dark current, 3MHz readout, and USB 2.0 plug-and-play connectivity. Demonstrates the performance of Dual output amplifiers allow software selection of conventional high sensitivity or electronically amplified outputs for a wide range of photon regime conditions.
