■Summary Andor's Neo sCMOS camera features 1e- read noise, ultra-low dark current, rolling shutter and global shutter in a -40°C vacuum-cooled platform, features FPGA intelligence, and is powered by a highly rated sCMOS sensor. Designed to reduce noise as much as possible. The Neo5.5 model is based on a large 5.5 megapixel sensor with 6.5µm pixels and 22mm diameter, making it ideal for applications such as cell microscopy, astronomy, digital pathology, and high-content screening. Neo5.5 is capable of continuous shooting at 30fps or burst shooting up to 100fps with 4GB of internal memory. It has extremely low dark current, making it suitable for a variety of exposure conditions and therefore ideal for astronomy. Rolling and global shutter flexibility further increases application flexibility. In particular, the Global Shutter easily and efficiently synchronizes the Neo with other "moving" devices such as stages or switching light sources, and is the perfect tool when photographing fast-moving objects, as there is no possibility of spatial distortion. . High-speed electronic shutters are also ideal for PIV fluid dynamics.
