Table of Contents
A gas mixer is a device used to blend two or more gases at specific proportions.
There are two basic types: static and dynamic. Static mixers are suitable for small-scale gas blending, while dynamic mixers are better suited for large-scale gas mixing.
In industrial applications, acetylene and oxygen mixed gas is used for welding and cutting metals. In food processing, air and nitrogen mixed gas is utilized for spraying and drying, enhancing quality. In the medical field, gas mixtures such as oxygen and nitrous oxide, or oxygen and air, are used for anesthesia and respiratory support.
The construction of a gas mixer consists of three elements: gas supply, mixing, and gas discharge. The key feature is the ability to mix two or more gases at a consistent ratio, resulting in improved combustion efficiency and uniformity of the gas mixture.
