About This Product
■100 x 102 x 75 mm size with a surface area of 450,000 square meters, weight of 189 g, aspect ratio of 22.7, and fin height of up to 75 mm. Standard corrugated fin made of thin sheet metal.
The biggest feature of our "corrugated fin" is its high aspect ratio, which is unmatched by other companies. By folding thin sheet metal using our unique technology, it is lightweight and has the same fin pitch as existing heat sinks, even at a maximum height of 75mm. Additionally, the fin height and fin pitch are more stable than corrugated fins manufactured by sheet metal processing. Generally, as the aspect ratio (fin height ÷ fin pitch) increases, the fin thickness increases and the gap becomes smaller, but with our corrugated fins, a sufficient gap can be secured even with an aspect ratio of 20 or more.
We currently have a lineup of 6 types of shapes, but within the machining range shown in the diagram, it is possible to manufacture customized dimensions by simply manufacturing some parts.
Features
■New construction method for tall fins
Generally speaking, press processing (continuous processing) requires a fin height of about 25 mm, and higher heights require special construction methods or sheet metal processing (for each bend), each requiring an investment. There are issues such as high costs and poor productivity. Since we have developed our own manufacturing equipment, we are able to manufacture corrugated fins with a fin height of up to 75 mm using a minimum number of parts. If you are looking for a new heat transfer fin with a high fin height that combines versatility and productivity, or if you cannot find a place to process sheet metal corrugated fins, please contact us first.
■Lighter weight
In the case of a heat sink with a high fin height, the fins are thick and the base part is also thick, making it heavy even if it is made of aluminum. Thin high aspect ratio corrugated fins are made from thin sheet metal, so if the fin height and pitch are the same, it is possible to reduce weight while maintaining the same size and surface area.
■Surface area expansion
Corrugated fins are characterized by a narrow fin pitch while maintaining a high fin height. It is possible to maintain the same fin gap as a general heat sink and expand the surface area. Additionally, for those who use our folding fins to reduce weight, both sides of the fins serve as heat exchange areas, so you can expect to increase the surface area while reducing weight.
