About This Product

Pipes/Piping Outside wrap folding fin "OPFF" is a heat transfer fin that can be retrofitted to piping. Because it is made by bending thin sheet metal, it has the high thermal conductivity characteristic of metal, while also being lightweight, flexible, and high strength. Therefore, it can be wrapped around pipes in equipment or factories afterwards, expanding the heat exchange area of the pipes and improving heat exchange performance.
"OPFF-1" is a clip fixed type. Since the fins on both sides are in an upright position (no flanges), it can be easily installed by wrapping the fins, aligning the fins face to face, and sandwiching them between the leaf spring metal fittings. In addition to the "OPMF-1" plate spring fittings that we sell, you can also use document clips, making installation extremely easy. By combining it with heat conductive sheets, adhesives, etc., further performance improvements and complete fixation are possible. In addition, the clip fixing part (the mating surfaces of both ends of the fin) has a groove to prevent the band from slipping when the outer circumference of the fin is fixed with a cable tie.

■High performance
The heat exchange performance of piping is often bottlenecked by the outside of the pipe, so installing fins to expand the heat exchange area improves heat dissipation performance. In-house experiments have also shown results such as a 20% increase in temperature drop (gas inside the pipe, natural air cooling outside the pipe, and one fin installed).
■Retrofit
By bending thin sheet metal and making it possible to create fins of various dimensions, fins can be designed to suit a wide variety of piping, making it easy to retrofit and wrap around piping in existing equipment. Special fixing hardware is also available, so you can choose the fixing method according to your environment.
■Lightweight
Our fins are made by bending extremely thin metal materials with a thickness of 0.2 or 0.3. The fin part is twice the thickness of the board, and the bottom part has a streamlined shape that matches the thickness of the board, making it extremely lightweight. Even if it is wrapped around piping as an afterthought, there are almost no problems such as the need for supports to support the piping.
