``OPFF'' is a folding fin that wraps around the outside of pipes and piping, and is a heat transfer fin that can be retrofitted to piping. Because it is made by bending thin sheet metal, it has the high thermal conductivity characteristic of metal, while also being lightweight, flexible, and high strength. Therefore, it can be wrapped around pipes in equipment or factories afterwards, expanding the heat exchange area of the pipes and improving heat exchange performance.
"OPFF-set" is a set of fins, blind fittings, binder, screws and nuts. The design is to cover the fin with blind fittings, wrap it around the piping, insert a binder into the joined part of both sides, and finally secure it with screws. It can be easily and securely fixed, and since it is screwed on, it can also be removed. By combining it with adhesives, it is possible to further improve performance and achieve complete fixation.
Currently, we have a lineup of products for 6A to 300A and 10 to 300mm piping, but we can manufacture customized products with any size, even from just one piece, as long as it is within the processing range of the equipment. Various changes can be made, such as changing the special pipe diameter or fin height. In addition, we can process any metal material that can be bent, including aluminum, stainless steel, and copper (the processing range varies depending on the material).
Features
■High performance
The heat exchange performance of piping is often bottlenecked by the outside of the pipe, so installing fins to expand the heat exchange area improves heat dissipation performance. In-house experiments have also shown results such as a 20% increase in temperature drop (gas inside the pipe, natural air cooling outside the pipe, and one fin installed).
■Retrofit
By bending thin sheet metal and making it possible to create fins of various dimensions, fins can be designed to suit a wide variety of piping, making it easy to retrofit and wrap around piping in existing equipment. Special fixing hardware is also available, so you can choose the fixing method according to your environment.
■Lightweight
Our fins are made by bending a very thin metal material with a thickness of 0.3 mm. The fin part is twice the thickness of the board, and the bottom part has a streamlined shape that matches the thickness of the board, making it extremely lightweight. Even if it is wrapped around piping as an afterthought, there are almost no problems such as the need for supports to support the piping.
