About This Product

■ Separate tin plating (reel to reel) drastically reduces tin scrapings during insertion and secondary press

Tin plating is often used for electronic parts that require solderability. However, this plating tends to produce whisker-like crystals on the surface. It is now possible to perform reflow processing after plating to suppress the generation of whiskers. In addition, these days, the same terminal is often made for two purposes: a press-fit part (press-fit shape) and a soldering part, so we use thin tin plating for the press-fit part (0.5 μm, etc.) and tin plating for the soldering part. It is possible to handle different plating thicknesses such as thicker (2μm, etc.). In order to prevent tin scum from adhering to the mold during bending after tin reflow plating, it is also possible to expose the underlying nickel plating in the parts that will be bent afterward. Mitsuya performs plating on pressed products.
