About This Product

■Functional plating for electronic components

Mitsuya has developed an improved palladium-nickel alloy plating that has properties superior to pure palladium in terms of hardness and wear resistance. In addition to the base plating to prevent diffusion, it also improves the slightly dark tone and thickness that were disadvantages of palladium plating. Depending on the nickel ratio, corrosion resistance is improved and pinholes are reduced compared to pure palladium plating. Hydrogen embrittlement is also less likely to occur. Palladium-nickel alloy plating has a higher hardness of about Hv450 than pure palladium plating. Therefore, it is often used as an alternative plating to gold for contact parts. Recently, they are often used in products that require sliding properties and insertion/extraction properties. Mitsuya's palladium-nickel alloy plating can be used for hoop and rack processing.
