About This Product

■Functional plating for electronic components

Palladium is attracting attention as a coating that can replace Au. Palladium has excellent corrosion resistance, light resistance, abrasion resistance, good electrical properties and gloss, and low contact resistance. Therefore, it is used in electrical and electronic parts such as electrical circuit contacts and connectors, and semiconductor-related parts. We developed palladium-cobalt alloy plating to eliminate the drawbacks of palladium plating and add new functionality. Since cobalt has excellent magnetic properties, it is also expected to be applied to magnetic devices and magnetic storage media. The features of palladium cobalt alloy plating are as follows. ・Excellent gloss ・Excellent corrosion resistance ・Has high hardness ・Excellent wear resistance Hardness is Hv450-500 (Co15%) as plated, and Hv650-700 after heat treatment.
