About This Product

■Summary

500 Tape is a pressure-sensitive thermal spray masking tape made of glass cloth impregnated with white silicone rubber and coated with a heat-resistant silicone adhesive. It is designed to withstand the extremely high temperatures of grid blasting and thermal spraying, which are the surface treatments used in the thermal spraying process, and to be able to be removed cleanly.

■Characteristics and uses

This tape developed for masking plasma spraying is a so-called one-stop masking tape designed to cover the two processes of grid blasting and plasma spraying. It also has strong adhesive properties, so it adapts well to complex shapes. The main market for this tape is the aircraft industry. Therefore, jet engine manufacturers, airline maintenance centers, and air force and naval air base repair centers are eligible. In addition, it is used in heavy industry such as generator turbine parts, semiconductors, and liquid crystal display manufacturing equipment parts.
