About This Product

■In response to increasing demands for gear chamfering

There is a need to improve the quality of gear chamfering in order to extend the life of grinding wheels in final finishing processes such as gear honing and gear grinding. Therefore, Kashifuji has significantly renewed the mechanical type KD1 gear chamfering machine, which has been manufactured and sold since 1976, as a full NC machine. While maintaining the woodpecker motion using links, it is now possible to process upper and lower end faces with one chuck, which was not possible with the KD1, and to chamfer gears with a helix angle of 20° or more. Kashifuji's unique cutting chamfering process offers new options for gear chamfering processes.

■Cutting chamfering using woodpecker motion

One stroke of the cutter chamfers the acute side, obtuse side, and root of one tooth, and the cutter cuts the workpiece from the inside to the outside of the tooth surface, so after machining, there is secondary burr on the tooth surface.・No excitement will occur. In addition, the cutter and workpiece are processed synchronously using NC control, allowing us to meet detailed chamfering requests such as not chamfering only the acute angle side or not chamfering the tooth bottom.

■Chamfering of upper and lower end surfaces with one chuck

The cutter axis (A-axis) rotates ±180°, making it possible to chamfer the upper and lower end faces with one chuck.

■Processing stepped gears

The woodpecker motion machining method allows even stepped gears with small gaps to be machined without interference. Furthermore, by using a multi-bit holder (optional), chamfering can be performed even when the upper and lower gear specifications are different.

■Reliable Kashifuji design and production part-time job

We design and manufacture the most suitable cutting tool based on gear specifications, tool specifications, and required chamfer amount. Bits using high-speed tool steel contribute to reducing machine running costs.

■Chamfering simulation using dedicated software

You can check the chamfer amount, shape, and tool compatibility on the operation panel screen.

■Automation compatible (optional specifications)

Automation using robots and autoloaders is possible.
