About This Product

■Typical workpieces to be processed

High speed hobs, carbide hobs, cermet hobs

■Grinding of flute hob cutter with gash lead is possible (KG253L)

The 6-axis CNC-controlled KG253L has a wide whetstone head rotation angle of ±25°, making it possible to grind leaded groove hobs. Equipped with a rotary NC dressing device, it is also possible to dress CBN and diamond grinding wheels on the machine. All complex grinding surface shapes are automatically calculated inside the CNC, and a highly accurate hob cutting surface is created by grinding the grinding wheel with corrected dressing. In addition, the 4-axis CNC-controlled KG253S is available exclusively for straight flute hobs. Easy to set grinding wheel offset amount

■Hob with rake angle

By inputting the program, the grinding wheel offset amount according to the rake angle of the hob is automatically set in units of 1/100mm.

■Carbide skiving hob with negative rake angle

The rake angle of the cutting edge can be set from plus 10° to minus 45° (equivalent to an offset of plus 20 mm to minus 90 mm), making it easy to set the grinding wheel for a carbide skiving hob with a large negative offset.

■Automatic phase alignment function

Before grinding, simply insert the whetstone into the hob blade groove manually, and the phase between the hob cutting edge and the whetstone surface will be automatically aligned.

■Easy program input

Program input is easy with the interactive input method. The KG253L also uses an NC device with a built-in computer and a 10.4-inch color LCD panel.
