■Space saving and increased rigidity

In order to stably process large module gears, the X, Y, and Z axes are all sliding surfaces. The extra guide length has been reduced by using sliding surfaces on all axes, and by optimally arranging incidental equipment in the dead space, a flat and slim body line has been achieved. Furthermore, the design of the cover around the in-machine hob head and the wiring and piping has been improved, resulting in a cleaner appearance.

■Two types of machine layouts

Two types of layouts are available depending on the factory layout: Type A (standard), which has a smaller frontage, and Type B, which supports downsizing of the automated transport line for the front and rear processes.

■Stable machining accuracy

In order to obtain stable machining accuracy from a cold start, we have developed a new tooth thickness stabilization device (patent pending) that corrects the amount of displacement between the shafts, instead of the conventional method of circulating coolant to stabilize thermal displacement. The machine is now equipped as standard. With this equipment, it is possible to process with the O.B.D. (tooth thickness) dimension within ±10μm even with a cold start.

■Ultra high-speed dry machining, high-speed machining using water-soluble cutting oil

Ultra-high-speed dry machining with a cutting speed of 300m/min is possible. In addition, for large module gears that cannot be machined by dry cutting, using water-soluble cutting oil enables high-speed machining comparable to dry machining. (The machine requires separate specifications for water-soluble processing.)

■Reduction of lubricant consumption

A lubrication system using low viscosity grease is used for sliding parts. It has the advantage of extending the lubrication cycle compared to conventional oil lubrication, and can significantly reduce lubricant consumption.

■High-speed, high-precision hob head/work table (optional specifications)

・KE201/251 high speed and high precision specifications For high-speed, high-precision machining of small module gears, optional specifications include a high-precision hob head that uses a built-in spindle motor and a high-precision worktable that uses a built-in servo motor.
