High-precision machining is possible even in high-speed gear cutting of transmission gears for passenger cars. In order to compensate for changes in tooth thickness due to thermal displacement, a tooth thickness stabilizing device is included as standard, allowing machining to be performed while suppressing dimensional changes from a cold start.

■Processing example

・Target work: m2.5 Z42 HA27.5R ・Hob specifications: φ80 Zw3 ・Cutting conditions: Cutting speed 150m/min Feed 3.0mm/rev Compared to the conventional machine (KE250 type hobbing machine) that uses a linear guide, the rigidity of the linear guide has been significantly increased.

■Achieving lower costs and more compactness through the pursuit of minimalism

Select NC equipment and servo motors with sufficient capacity. The number of parts has been reduced by reducing the number of reduction gears used for each axis and connecting them directly. Additionally, by making full use of structural analysis, we succeeded in making the machine more compact while ensuring mechanical rigidity. Machine width has been reduced by 12% compared to the KE201 hobbing machine.
