■High precision machining of long shaft gears

The hob saddle has a vertical travel distance of 400mm, which is the longest in its class, and the distance from the top of the table to the support center is 645mm, making it especially effective for step cutting of long shaft gears. Additionally, by performing hard hobbing to finish gears after hardening, it is possible to improve the precision and quality of hardened gears at low cost, instead of traditional gear grinding.

■Integrated structure of column and support・Improved thermal rigidity and workability

The integrated structure of the column and support increases thermal rigidity, minimizes thermal displacement of the O.B.D. value (tooth thickness) from a cold start, and provides stable machining accuracy. In addition, the wide open area on the right side of the machine makes it easy to work inside the machine, and a workpiece transport device such as an autoloader can be installed in a space-saving manner.

■ Smoothly removes dry cutting chips

The KN152, which was developed as a complete dry cut hobbing machine, has significantly increased the steep slope section at the bed/column connection point and reduced the horizontal section at the hob saddle so that chips during dry cutting can be quickly discharged outside the machine. It is designed with a chute cover attached. The newly developed ceiling-mounted autoloader also eliminates the accumulation of chips. High-speed, high-precision hobhead worktable (optional)

■KN152 high speed high precision specification

For high-speed, high-precision machining of small module gears, optional specifications include a high-precision hob head that uses a built-in spindle motor and a high-precision worktable that uses a built-in servo motor. The direct drive of the hob head and work table allows for finish hobbing and hard hobbing with the same precision as gear grinding.
