■High-speed processing

Although it is a small hobbing machine with a machine width of 1,800 mm, it has a hob shaft capacity of 5.5 kW, a maximum hob rotation speed of 2,660 rpm, and a maximum table rotation speed of 330 rpm, making it ideal for high-speed machining. This allows you to maximize its capabilities and significantly shorten machining time. In addition, hobbing is used to finish gears after hardening, which replaces conventional gear grinding and improves the precision and quality of hardened gears at low cost.

■Integrated structure of column and support・Improved thermal rigidity and workability

The integrated structure of the column and support increases thermal rigidity, minimizes thermal displacement of the O.B.D. value (tooth thickness) from a cold start, and provides stable machining accuracy. In addition, the wide open area on the right side of the machine makes it easy to work inside the machine, and a workpiece transport device such as an autoloader can be installed in a space-saving manner.

■Energy saving

In consideration of the global environment such as global warming issues, our company is working on the development of energy-saving hobbing machines. KN80 is a hobbing machine that achieves a 40% reduction in power consumption compared to conventional machines. High-speed, high-precision hobhead worktable (optional)

■KN80 high speed high precision specification

For high-speed, high-precision machining of small module gears, optional specifications include a high-precision hob head that uses a built-in spindle motor and a high-precision worktable that uses a built-in servo motor. The direct drive of the hob head and work table allows for finish hobbing and hard hobbing with the same precision as gear grinding.

■In-machine mounting device (optional specification)

By adopting a 3-station arm loader, chamfering and deburring are possible during hobbing. By making effective use of the empty space on the machine and making the chamfering tool axis and deburring tool axis independent, tool changes and adjustments can be easily performed from the front operation side of the machine. Additionally, by combining hobbing, chamfering, and deburring, line length and cycle time can be shortened.
