About This Product

Mosaic is a device that can be attached to an optical microscope and irradiates a specific wavelength of light onto any area of ​​the sample being examined. By adopting a DMD (digital micromirror device), there is no time difference even when stimulating light is irradiated at the start and end points of the stimulation point or at multiple points within the same field of view. The light source for photostimulation can be a mercury light source, xenon light source, LED light source, or other laser. It supports various applications such as Uncaging using UV light from a mercury light source, ChR2 experiments using wavelength around 480nm, and FRAP using 405nm laser.

■Features

・The minimum size shape is the resolution of diffraction limit approximation ・By forming a freely shaped field diaphragm, it is possible to apply light stimulation only to a desired area. ・It is possible to illuminate multiple areas completely simultaneously within the same field of view. There are no time differences depending on location. ・Various light sources can be used depending on the purpose. -Irradiation is possible at the same time as observation. - Compatible with most video cameras and digital camera inputs. ・Can be irradiated with a minimum pulse width of 0.1ms. - Can be controlled by trigger from imaging device. ■Uncaging/Uncaging

By irradiating a caged compound, which is an inactivated molecule, with light, the original physiologically active molecule instantly appears. Select any location within the microscope field for local activation.

■Photobleaching/Photobleaching

Irradiating the fluorescent dye with strong light causes it to fade. We use this phenomenon to conduct optical stimulation experiments such as FLIP and FRAP. *FLIP (Fluorescence Loss in Photobleaching). *FRAP (Fluorescence Recovery after Photobleaching)

■Photoconversion/Photoconversion

The fluorescence wavelength is shifted by irradiating it with light of a specific wavelength.

■Photoactivation/Photoactivation

The fluorescence intensity is amplified by irradiating fluorescent proteins such as PA-GFP and PA-RFP with light of a specific wavelength.
