PI (polyimide) has excellent heat resistance, and also exhibits high wear resistance and friction performance even under high pressure and high speed friction. It also has low outgassing properties under high vacuum conditions, excellent chemical resistance, mechanical properties, and low electrical conductivity. Additionally, it has excellent dimensional stability as it has no melting point or glass transition point.
